Dropping le famille off at Highgate, I thought i'd take the opportunity to take some pics of Lubetkin's (of london zoo penguin pool fame) Highpoint flats. Social housing like Goldfinger ( who lived here for a while ) but how different from Trellick and Balfron - here it's all posh, posh, posh. Well anyway I was taking photos and out comes this guy. "Have you got permission to take photos"? Apparently it was private property (although I saw no signs) and he told me that there were 'alot of nervous residents' - whatever that meant. Obviously I was nice to him, said sorry and moved on - but it kind of niggled that having had pretty much open access to Goldfinger's buildings - at least from the outside - I was moved off from here. I don't know what the problem was - did this guy think I was some burglar who was casing the joint - and if so - would I have been taking light readings, and using a 40 year old mechanical hunk of metal? Anyway it put me in a bit of a bad mood.
